EU sets stress-test scenario, rules for 124 banks

( April 29, 2014, 09:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU regulators will test 124 banks for their ability to withstand a hypothetical recession and market shock, which would hit their loan and trading books, holdings of government and asset-backed bonds, and funding costs. Lenders will have to bolster capital if they fall below a 5.5 percent ratio under the what-if adverse scenario.
