Cleaning company Lismartsa gets GDPR fine over data minimization

( March 30, 2023, 13:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Cleaning company Lismartsa has paid a fine of 1,800 euros imposed by the Spanish data protection authority for violating Article 5.1(c) of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. The company had, contrary to the principle of data minimization, disclosed the data of 74 people in relation to the election of its workers' council, the watchdog said. The initial fine amounted to 3,000 euros, which was reduced when Lismartsa made a voluntary payment.The decision is attached in Spanish. ...
