By Laurel Henning ( November 14, 2019, 00:03 GMT | Insight) -- Lawyers for US tech giant Google told a Sydney court today that they needed more clarity from Australia's competition regulator before responding to allegations the company misled consumers over the location data it collected and kept. Robert Yezerski, acting on behalf of Google, told the Federal Court of Australia that if the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission wanted "to run this narrow, cherry-picked case," the facts of the case needed to be stated more broadly and the company would need more time to prepare its response.
