SEC's new fund reporting rule to make data easier to analyze: Commissioner Stein

( October 13, 2016, 19:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission's fund reporting rule approved Thursday will make it easier for computers to analyze information about derivatives and risk measures submitted by mutual funds and exchange traded funds, Commissioner Kara Stein said. The new forms will be submitted in a structured XML format. "Perhaps one of the most important elements of today's rule is how we ask registered funds to provide the reporting," she said in a statement.  Statement follows in full....
