US judge gives final approval to settlement of investor lawsuit against California security equipment firm

( August 31, 2022, 20:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US judge gave final approval to a settlement of an investor-led lawsuit against OSI Systems, a California security firm accused of misleading shareholders about investigations into allegations of bribery. The company will be required to pay a gross amount of $12.5 million, which will be used to pay class members, settlement administration costs, taxes, and attorney’s fees and costs. In February 2018, the US Justice Department and Securities and Exchange Commission dropped their investigations, filing no charges nor imposing any fines.See documents below....
