EU banks receive regulatory package on prudential matters under MiCAR

( June 13, 2024, 13:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Banking Authority today published a package of six regulatory products on prudential matters under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, or MiCAR. The package aims “to foster a well-regulated market for asset-referenced and e-money tokens in the EU,” the EBA said. It includes final draft regulatory technical standards on own-funds requirements and stress testing, as well as on highly liquid financial instruments. It also contains guidelines on the format and content of recovery plans to be developed for issuers of asset-references tokens and e-money tokens.Statement follows. The six reports are attached....
