EU’s Ansip vows to fight national practices blocking data flow

Most national laws forcing companies to store data locally don't help protect personal information or the fight against security threats, he said. The EU will make proposals, later in the year, to combat unnecessary data localization requirements in the bloc’s member states, Ansip said....
