​Mexican social service agency sues Stryker in US for bribing officials

( October 18, 2019, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Medical products company Stryker is facing civil claims filed by the Mexican Instituto del Seguro Social, or IMSS, alleging the firm harmed the nation's social service agency by bribing its officials to obtain business. IMSS said Stryker induced and participated in breach of fiduciary duties, committed fraud and violated Mexican laws against services of the public sector. In 2018 and 2013 Stryker settled Foreign Corrupt Practices Act claims brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission; both times some of the FCPA violations occurred in Mexico.See document below....
