YouTube sued over alleged illegal face scanning in US class action

The plaintiff accused YouTube of violating Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act by failing to provide notice and obtain consent when users uploading videos use its Face Blur tool and feature to generate thumbnail images, which scan faces of people in videos.Complaint is attached....
