Petrobras says loss in Luxembourg shouldn’t pierce its immunity

( October 31, 2017, 19:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Brazilian state-owned oil company Petrobras argues that a US investment fund should not be able to overcome its sovereign immunity and take legal action in US courts because a loss on a drillship project occurred in Luxembourg. Petrobras made its argument in a brief filed with the US District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. A federal judge ruled for EIG Energy Fund XIV and Petrobras has appealed.See brief below....
