​Emergent Cold’s Oxford Cold Storage acquisition to proceed, following Australian approval

( October 22, 2019, 22:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Cold-storage services company Emergent Cold’s proposed acquisition of Oxford Cold Storage has won regulatory clearance in Australia, with the country’s competition authority announcing today that it won’t stand in the way of the deal. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, or ACCC, said the deal is unlikely to substantially lessen competition, despite preliminary concerns about the acquisition’s impact on prices, service levels and the types of clients at which the merged entity’s services were targeted.
