France sees further delay in EU copyright directive transposition

By Arezki Yaïche ( June 26, 2019, 08:09 GMT | Insight) -- French online press publishers and distributors will see additional respite granted in their obligation to comply with the EU's copyright directive, which will be fully transposed into the country's law later than expected, MLex has learned. As the French Senate is set to give its final approval next week on the transposition of the EU directive, the full transposition will only be effective after the final vote on the French public audio-visual law, which is expected in early 2020.French online press publishers and distributors will see additional respite granted in their obligation to comply with the EU's copyright directive, which will be fully transposed into the country's law later than expected, MLex has learned....
