LinkedIn facing proposed class action over California DMV records

( February 9, 2024, 16:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: LinkedIn is facing a proposed class action accusing the social media company of unlawfully tracking the activities of members who visited the California Department of Motor Vehicles website to apply for, renew, or check the status of a disability placard, violating federal and state privacy laws. "At no time did LinkedIn or the DMV disclose to Plaintiff or Class Members that LinkedIn was tracking the activities of its members on the DMV website, obtaining their personal information, or learning the contents of their communications with the DMV," plaintiff Jacqueline Jackson said in her complaint. See complaint below....
