Japanese auto parts companies, subsidiaries, executives indicted for rigging automotive parts bids

Tokai Kogyo, its subsidiary Green Tokai, and Akitada Tazumi were charged with conspiring to rig bids for and fix the prices of automotive body sealing products sold to Honda Motor Company for installation in vehicles manufactured and sold in the US and elsewhere. Maruyasu Industries, its subsidiary Curtis-Maruyasu America, Tadao Hirade, Satoru Murai, Kazunori Kobayashi and Yoshihiro Shigematsu were charged with conspiring to fix prices, allocate customers, and rig bids for automotive steel tubes sold in the US and elsewhere.Statement follows below: ...
