ICE receives antitrust approval to sell Trayport after UK scrutiny

( October 27, 2017, 13:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Exchanges and clearinghouse operator Intercontinental Exchange, known as ICE, has received approval from the Competition and Markets Authority to sell software technology company Trayport, after the watchdog ordered the company to sell it due to competition concerns. The buyer is UK-based exchange operator TMX Group, which will pay 350 million pounds ($458 million) for Trayport, and also exchange two of its businesses, NGX and Shorcan Energy Brokers.
