Spain's delay on privacy rules for law enforcement sees EU take it to court

( October 21, 2019, 10:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has taken Spain to court for failing to transpose on time the EU's new data-protection regime that applies to law-enforcement authorities. EU countries had until May 6, 2018, to adapt the EU directive to their rulebooks, but Spain missed that deadline. The commission said that Spain hadn't informed it of the entry into force of the required transposition measures. Spain is facing financial penalties in the dispute.Statement follows....
