Japan subcontract-law enforcement on the rise as regulator tightens watch for supplier exploitation

( June 5, 2024, 06:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japanese enforcement against Subcontract Act violations were on the rise last year, according to an annual report published by the Japan Fair Trade Commission. In the 2023 fiscal year that ended March 2024, the regulator issued 13 corrective recommendations against large companies that exploited their smaller subcontracting companies, which was the highest in the last 10 years.
