UEFA, FIFA's authorization rules breach EU law, Spanish court says in ESL case

( May 27, 2024, 13:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Super League has seen a Spanish court uphold a legal complaint against the European and world governing bodies of football. A Madrid court found that UEFA and FIFA's restrictions on new football tournaments breached EU competition laws, as well as declarations made by those bodies and various national leagues in 2021 when the European Super League went public.
