Continental asks court to pause Nokia's German patent case against Daimler

( June 12, 2019, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Continental Automotive Systems has filed a motion to intervene in a patent dispute in German court between Daimler and Nokia. Continental wants US District Judge Lucy Koh to issue a stay against Nokia’s patent infringement case against Daimler and enjoin Nokia from instituting against Continental or any of its customers any action alleging infringement of their global 2G, 3G and 4G standard essential patents during the pendency of a Frand proceeding in California. Continental says Nokia’s German lawsuits are an attempt to force Daimler and other manufacturers to accept non-Frand licenses before the California court has an opportunity to adjudicate the case on the merits.See document below....
