Data handlers in China get implementing rules for data-security assessments from MIIT

( May 27, 2024, 02:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Handlers of important data and core data in China, in the fields of industry and information technology, have received a set of implementing rules for data-security risk assessment from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. They will need to make one minimum data-security risk assessment each year and submit the report to industry regulators for checking, according to the rules. The risk assessment should cover the purpose and means of data-processing activities, business scenarios, security safeguard measures and risk factors including those involved in outbound data transfers.
