CADE's legal team recommends approval of potential buyer for Ball-Rexam assets

( June 3, 2016, 23:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The legal team of the Brazilian competition authority issued an opinion today recommending the approval of a potential buyer for the assets that will be divested in the country as part of Ball's acquisition of rival beverage can maker Rexam. Officials identified some competition concerns with the proposal that weren't disclosed, but said those concerns won't prevent the approval of the potential buyer. Ball said in April that it had agreed to sell can plants in Europe, the United States and Brazil to address regulatory concerns.See document in Portuguese attached....
