Businesses oppose Google bid for Supreme Court review of AdWords class certification

( May 2, 2016, 22:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A group of businesses who sued Google over its AdWords service have filed a brief opposing the search company's petition for Supreme Court review of a ruling reversing a decision that denied them class certification. The companies argue that, in an effort to create a federal issue, Google said that there is a circuit split on whether individual damage calculations alone defeat class certification, but no such split actually exists. "In reality, every circuit applies the same settled, black-letter rule," they said, and even if such a split did exist, it wouldn't matter in this case because they proposed a reasonable, common method of calculating restitution.See document below....
