EU stakeholders have 'expectations for change' to EU competition policy, survey shows

( October 9, 2019, 00:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A survey entitled “EU Competition Policy Study: Expectations for Change” has been released by consultancy Brunswick. The company said the survey aimed to “gauge how well competition policy is understood in Europe, how much appetite there is for reform and how far the concept of European champions is understood, accepted or rejected.” The results indicate that there’s a push for EU competition rules to be reviewed and reformed, and stakeholders question the role of price as a sole measure of consumer welfare.
