Trenitalia subject to dominance-abuse probe in Italy

( August 9, 2022, 08:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Railway operator Trenitalia is under investigation in Italy over whether it abused its market power to the detriment of rival Italo - Nuovo Trasporto Viaggatori, or NTV, the national antitrust authority disclosed in its latest weekly newsletter. In a complaint brought in March, NTV accused Trenitalia of abusing its dominant position on the market for passenger transport services on high-speed routes where NTV is active as Trenitalia's sole competitor.
