​German court dismisses antitrust action over train-tracks cartel

( October 16, 2017, 11:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A direct purchaser of train tracks in Germany has lost its cartel-damages action in court. The unidentified claimant had asked the Dortmund regional court to declare that the defendant, the successor of one of the cartel members, was liable for compensation. The court said that in their contracts the companies agreed that legal disputes had to be solved only before an arbitration court. This clause was also applicable to antitrust claims, the court ruled in its dismissal of the case.See the full text of the ruling here in German....
