Google should be sanctioned for withholding logs in US 'Incognito' privacy litigation, plaintiffs say

( August 4, 2022, 23:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google purposely concealed internal logs about use of the Incognito mode on its Chrome browser, and should be sanctioned, Chrome users suing the company over alleged privacy violations told US magistrate judge in San Jose, California. They're seeking to exclude Google from relying on additional undisclosed witnesses, jury instructions, and attorneys’ fees. "Plaintiffs have diligently sought this exact information while Google knowingly hid that it was logging and using this data for myriad business purposes," plaintiffs said. "Only after multiple Court orders and self-granted extensions has Google finally admitted that this highly relevant data existed all along and was not being preserved." See document below....
