Government Statement: NetCom and Telenor apply to keep Norwegian 1800MHz licenses

( June 2, 2009, 08:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- Mobile operators NetCom and Telenor have applied with the Norwegian ministry of transport and communicatinos to keep their licenses in the 1800MHz band after they expire in March 2010. The existing licenses are limited for the use of GSM mobile telephony, while the new licenses will be available to use for any mobile communications service, including high-speed mobile broadband.
