Groups petition court to stay FCC broadcast ownership rule change

( January 25, 2018, 22:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Prometheus Radio Project and Media Mobilizing Project on Thursday asked the Third Circuit to stay a move by the US Federal Communications Commission to relax local ownership rules from going into effect on Feb. 7.  They argue the action is necessary "because the FCC’s repeal and modifications of broadcast ownership limits without adopting a final definition of 'eligible entity' and without analyzing the impact on station ownership by minorities and women violates the prior remands of this Court and deprives Citizen Petitioners and this Court of any opportunity to review the agency’s decisions" that are before the court.See document below....
