Beneficial ownership transparency bills introduced in US Congress

( February 3, 2016, 23:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- The Incorporation Transparency and Law Enforcement Act of 2016 (HR 4450 in the US House and companion S 4289 in the US Senate) was introduced in the Congress. The bills would require states to collect names, addresses and either US passport or driver's license numbers of the beneficial owners of corporations that are registered in that state. The bills would also require the state to hold the data for five years and provide it upon written request or subpoena to legal authorities.Bill follows in full:...
