Drywall manufacturers fail to ax umbrella damages from price-fixing case

( October 3, 2019, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Michael M. Baylson has denied L&W, PABCO, and USG’s motion for summary judgment on umbrella damages in a case accusing them of fixing the prices of domestic drywall, saying the Cartwright Act does not expressly prohibit umbrella damages and “California judicial construction of the harmonization doctrine does not require application of the federal rule barring umbrella damages.”See document below....
