NHL settles lawsuit over broadcast restrictions

( June 11, 2015, 20:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The National Hockey League has agreed to settle a class action challenging restrictions on the televison and Internet broadcast of games, plaintiffs said in a brief. The league will allow fans of a single team to purchase a subscription to watch its games even if those fans do not live in that team's market, a first among North America's major sports leagues, the plaintiffs said. The NHL has also agreed to drop prices. The settlement doesn't affect related litigation involving Major League Baseball.See document below....
