EU Health Data Space will need clear legal basis as defined under GDPR, supervisor says

( November 18, 2020, 12:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Health Data Space will need to have a clear legal basis for the processing of sensitive data under the EU GDPR, the European Data Protection Supervisor has said in a preliminary opinion on the European Commission's data strategy from February. The EU executive must also clarify the roles and responsibilities of the parties involved and clearly identify the precise categories of data to be made available to the EHDS. In addition, a comprehensive cybersecurity infrastructure is needed, the opinion said.Statement attached....
