SEC considers simplifying disclosure requirements for public companies under FAST Act

( October 11, 2017, 16:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Securities and Exchange Commission proposed to simplify disclosure requirements for small and emerging companies under the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act. Specifically, amendments would revise and streamline rules, update rules by eliminating certain requirements for undertakings in registration statements, simplify the process, and update existing technology to improve access to information. SEC Chairman Jay Clayton said the proposal "provides investors with the information necessary to make informed investment choices without imposing unnecessary burdens of time and money on issuers."Statement follows....
