Douglas, La Gardenia-Limoni deal conditionally cleared in Italy

( January 23, 2018, 09:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italy's competition watchdog has cleared plans by perfume chain Douglas to acquire control of the main luxury perfumes and cosmetics retailers La Gardenia and Limoni, under the condition that the acquirer divests some points of sale on local markets for the selective retail distribution of luxury perfumes and cosmetics. In its analysis, the authority found that the deal would have otherwise led to the creation or to the strengthening of a dominant position on 15 selective retail distribution markets.Statement follows in Italian....
