Vietnam decree establishing new competition commission finally issued

( February 10, 2023, 09:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Vietnamese government has issued the long-awaited decree establishing its new antitrust regulator, the Vietnam Competition Commission, or VCC. Issued on Feb. 10, the decree outlines the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the commission, and will take effect on April 1. The creation of the VCC was mandated by the 2018 competition law to replace the two-tier regulatory model comprising the Vietnam Competition and Consumer Authority and the Vietnam Competition Council under the old law.  The decree is attached....
