Italian watchdog seeks input on ANIA's antitrust commitments to end fraud database project probe

( April 29, 2021, 10:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italian insurers' association ANIA has offered antitrust commitments, with a view to ending a probe the national competition watchdog opened last year into a project for the creation of databases and common algorithms to determine fraud risk indicators. The project foresees the setup of a platform for the exchange of information on fraud occurrences, as well as a portal for life and non-life insurance, but not auto insurance. Under the offer made, ANIA has pledged to guarantee access to the platform and portal to all interested insurers, whether members or not, among a set of other behavioral commitments. The deadline for comments is May 29.Related documents are attached (in Italian). ...
