FBME Bank may be forced to drop appeal of FinCEN action

( October 3, 2017, 22:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Counsel for FBME Bank told the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit that the central bank of Tanzania had ordered FBME to drop its appeal of a court decision that upheld an action by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. FinCEN cut off FBME from US correspondent banking because of money laundering concerns. The lawyers said the bank's holding group may seek to sustain the appeal.Letter in full follows....
