Google seeks dismissal of Illinois privacy lawsuit over Google Assistant recordings

BIPA regulates "voiceprints," not voice recordings, Google argued. Even voiceprints "only fall under BIPA’s scope if they are used to identify a person but plaintiffs do not allege that voiceprints or any other data was used to identify them or anyone at all," Google said.See document below....
