Apple seeks courtroom blackout of discussion of App Store profitability at Epic Games trial

( April 29, 2021, 04:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple is asking for the courtroom to be closed to the public when the profitability of its App Store is discussed at the landmark antitrust trial set to begin next week in California. Apple is asking the court to prohibit the testimony of Epic Games accountant Ned Barnes from being made public, and also for it to order Epic Games not to refer to any such information during its opening statement. Apple says that while the court should be able to see the evidence, the disclosure of this information to the public at large could "unduly confuse the securities market" and other investors in Apple, and "may be misinterpreted by the media."The court document attached....
