EU ready to roll out sectorial, ‘plurilateral’ trade deals, top trade official says

These new deals should be discussed both inside and outside the World Trade Organization’s framework, as the institution has suffered several blockages in delivering new outcomes, according to Sabine Weyand.The EU must strive to get more “plurilateral agreements” during the next 5-year political term to facilitate the free flow of goods and services between the EU and groups of countries, the bloc’s top trade official said today....
