Trump administration won't contest court's hold on DACA termination

( January 12, 2018, 18:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Trump administration will comply with a nationwide preliminary injunction against its decision to terminate protection for young immigrants as of March 5, Justice Department lawyers said. In a parallel case pending in New York to block termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, DOJ lawyers asked for a Jan. 18 hearing to be postponed because plaintiffs "have already obtained the vast majority of the relief that they are seeking" from a federal court in California that issued the injunction on Jan. 9. "Defendants immediately began taking steps to comply with that order," they said.See document below....
