( May 24, 2019, 19:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A whistleblower received a $4.5 million award from the US Securities and Exchange Commission for providing the SEC and another agency with details about significant wrongdoing within 120 days of reporting it internally to the company. The SEC said it was the first time it had granted an award under a provision of whistleblower rules "designed to incentivize internal reporting by whistleblowers who also report to the SEC within 120 days."Statement follows....
