Global big tech should prepare for age assurance, safer algorithms under new UK draft online codes

Age assurance requirements are strict. Sites that do not keep all children out will also face strict requirements for recommender systems, content moderation and, significantly, must have regard to content considered only potentially harmful. The initial assessment process is tough and could lead to enforcement if mishandled.
