Spanish watchdog to review antitrust fine imposed on container-logistics association ALTC

( February 16, 2015, 15:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spain’s competition authority must reconsider a 7.6 million-euro fine that it imposed in 2008 on ALTC, an association of container-transport companies, for illegal cartel conduct. ALTC had entered into price-fixing agreements with sister organization Transcont, recommending annual reference prices to member companies and demanding that bills be processed through it, to control the fees applied. The Spanish authority will have to review the fine and apply an appropriate percentage based on the 2007 turnover of the association's member companies.The ruling is attached....
