German cable association assesses how to challenge Liberty Global, KabelBW deal

( May 28, 2015, 15:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: German cable operators’ association FRK has said it is looking into whether and how legal action could be taken against the decision by the Bundeskartellamt to approve a settlement between Liberty Global and KabelBW with rival cable operators Deutsche Telekom and NetCologne. The settlement included Deutsche Telekom and NetCologne withdrawing their appeals against the regulator’s merger approval to the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, provided that Liberty Global makes an undisclosed payment to the two parties.
