Norway proposes stricter mobile-network regulation

( May 13, 2016, 12:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Norwegian telecom regulator has proposed a series of measures to boost competition in the mobile market. Telenor has been found to have significant market power in the market for placing calls and access to the network. Among the obligations is a requirement to offer “virtual” operators access to Telenor’s network, at prices that ensure the profit margins of these operators aren’t “squeezed,” and that they can compete effectively with established network operators.
