Wi-Lan says judge erred in granting summary judgment for Ericsson

( October 15, 2015, 18:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Wi-Lan said in a brief filed with the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit that a federal judge in Florida erred when he invalidated a key Wi-Lan patent on technology that "hands over" a wireless call from one base station to the next, incorrectly relying on outdated cell technology and "upon bare assertions of Ericsson’s expert and even of Ericsson’s counsel" to find that the Wi-Lan patent was antitcipated by prior art. Wi-Lan also says US District Judge Donald Middlebrooks erred in ruling that Ericsson doesn't infringe two other Wi-Lan patents. Please see attached Wi-Lan brief....
