Hyundai Heavy, Daewoo Shipbuilding receive KFTC request for more data on planned merger

By Choi Hyung-jo ( September 18, 2019, 07:03 GMT | Insight) -- Shipbuilding giants Hyundai Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering have been asked by South Korea's competition regulator for more information on their proposed merger, MLex has learned. It is understood that the Korea Fair Trade Commission has asked the shipbuilding giants to provide more information on the deal on as many as two occasions since they filed it for approval.
