Central likely made the move to finance its recent 920-million euro ($1.1 billion) acquisition of Big C Vietnam from France’s Casino Group. An industry source said hypermarkets in Thailand were not a primary focus for Central, which already owns Tops Supermarket and FamilyMart, especially after it lost out to TCC in a February bid to acquire Casino’s 58.6-percent stake in Big C Thailand.    ...
