Spanish watchdog fines Cantabria associations for cartel conduct

( February 27, 2015, 15:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spain’s competition authority has levied antitrust fines totaling 90,000 euros on road-transport association Asemtrasan and Santander harbor dockers’ organization Ascoesant for illegal cartel agreements such as price-fixing and restrictions in the market for freight transport by road, to or from the autonomous region of Cantabria. Asemtrasan was fined 60,000 euros for setting reference prices for the mentioned services between 2000 and at least 2012, and Ascoesant was fined 30,000 for collective price recommendations for transport services at the Santander harbor between 2007 and at least November 2012.Full statement follows in Spanish:...
